Springtime Graduation Photos at the Riparian Preserve
It was a breath of fresh air shooting these graduation photos with Layla at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch in Gilbert, Arizona! She wasn’t sure about a location, so I suggested this park I found through google maps in Gilbert. When I’m not too familiar with an area, and a client needs help choosing a location, Google Maps is my best friend. I can do so much research on various options without having to visit them in person this way.
As soon as I arrived, I knew I made the right suggestion! There were so many gorgeous flowers blooming all around the park to work with. Springtime in Arizona is so beautiful and offers a lot of new colors to play with while shooting.
Despite the misleading name, the blue palo verde is the blooming tree with yellow flowers featured throughout these photos. Layla’s favorite color is actually yellow, so as soon as I saw this beautiful tree, I had to bring her over to it to pose with it! The contrast between the blue gown & her yellow dress/the flowers made these images unique and bright.
Then, of course, we had to include the classic saguaros & prickly pear cacti in a few shots!
