I approach each photo session as a storytelling journey unique to each person, couple, or family. I won't force moments or put you into awkward poses. For me, photographing is about getting to know the person (or people) I'm capturing and letting their natural moments & personality shine through the images! I'm here to make whatever occasion or moment you want to be captured into a fun & organic experience to remember for years to come!
My Shooting Philosophy
Since I was 15, I've had a camera in my hand. I learned about photography the old fashioned way, in the darkroom developing B&W film and prints on my own through many years of high school art classes. This drove me to pick up my first DSLR, and I soon started practicing on myself through self-portraits (which I still love to do today)! I then moved on to photographing family & friends, and shortly after began capturing images for others who wanted some special moments captured.
Over the years of shooting individual portraits, to couples through engagement sessions and weddings, to families, I've discovered my passion - creating images for people that they'll hold onto for a lifetime!
In addition to photographing people, I love getting outside during my free time and capturing landscapes. I recently moved back to Texas after living in Arizona for a few years after college, where my love for the outdoors blossomed, as has my passion for photographing the special moments in nature I experienced out there! Check out my print shop if you want to see some of my landscape work.
I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Digital Media Innovation in 2018. Aside from photography, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Alexis, and my rescue dog Luna, cooking and trying new vegan foods, and taking a dip in swimming holes around the hillcountry.
That's my story; now let's hear about yours!
